(3/1/09) Happy New Year! A little late I know, but I have been either working or sleeping over Christmas and the New Year. Middlesex could do with a little change in fortunes so as a resolution I have vowed to practice a little more.

In the BDO Lakeside World Championships we have a little 'local' interest in Simon Whitlock a Father Teds player, besides that we have no-one other than your own favourites.

Krzysztof Ratajski v Edwin Max is a game I will be watching having played against them both recently.

Robert Wagner v Gary Anderson would also be a thriller.

(21/12/08 p.m.) Do you ever watch that ticker tape on the bottom of the screen when the scores come in for the football results on the BBC? They are nearly always perfect but just occasionally you get a correction, so I thought that I would join in. Kevin Locket is still in the B, however Gary Lewis has dropped to the bench.

(21/12/08) Knock Knocks mate 007 nicks it from Nick Nick. Alan "Roger" Bond demolished all opposition in the British Masters Qualifiers last Wednesday, that is everyone other than Nick Nick Patel (so good they named him twice), in an excellent final. Alan however proved to be cool under the significant pressure being put on him by the corner shop king. No Martini in the national final rounds Roger, not even water is allowed at the table.

All of the A team players who turned up found the competition too hot and went out first round, myself, Scott Robertson, Mark Haggerty, and new recruit to the A team Joe Stone.

Also in the mens A  team for the home match against Warwickshire in January is Ben "The Pope" Stevenson allowing Roy Peacock and Mick Seager to return to the B, further strengthening the B team is Peter Barnes, a resurgent Terry Hennessy, and an in form Steve Salt.  Returning to the reserves is Krusty and Kevin Lockett. Johnny Mac gets a spot in the reserves to reflect his consistent performances in the superleague, if I have missed someone out.... sorry.

The Ladies A remains as is, and Dee takes a rest from the Ladies B in favour of Alexis Miller. Louise "Tinker" Bell gets a well earned call into the reserves.

Overall the team is getting stronger again, I look forward to the time where everyone signed up to play for us is available, willing, and on form.

(16/12/08) The Mens Superleague has been updated.

(9/12/08) I have corrected the Ladies Superleague link, apologies ladies.

(7/12/08) There is another Harlow Stadium Darts Open, this time with an £800 first prize and a £1,000 prize for the first 9 darts game. The ladies have a £400 first prize. I can vouch for the quality of the tournament in terms of venue and organisation so I will be attending.

The darts on the tele is good, every inch as good as PDC!

(6/12/08) The Ladies Superleague page has been updated by Jo Chandler.

Unfortunately only Maggie and I were able to make it to Bridlington, even more unfortunate was that we were not able to progress far. I was pleased to return to the form of a couple of months ago, though having darts to beat Krzysztof Ratajski, one of the eventual qualifiers leaves you feeling a little miffed. Maggie faired better in the Lakeside women's event winning one game before losing, but faired no better in the World Masters. Its wetted my appetite for darts again so I will be going to England Classic to chance my arm.

The youth team have been neglected by me recently, to make amends follow the link.

(2/12/08) It has been about 2 weeks since this site was last updated, and a lot has happened, but I afraid I have been very busy. I know some of the ladies are keen to see the stats for the ladies superleague, but a little patience please as keeping tables and other stats up to date is quite time consuming and I am sure that Jo will get there once she is able to.

So on to the Mens Superleague, all is on the appropriate page.

With regards to the county the squad should have been announced before the match, however due to a few late alterations and decisions I did not have the time to update them. The result against Gwent was encouraging as we competed with them in a reasonably close 20-16 loss. Nice to see Jamie Sadler back on form. More updates to follow.
