Standalone Access Control
SDL Security Limited
The
most basic system installed is a standalone access control system. There are no
cables connecting the access control door to any other door or any computer. In
its most cost effective form all of he electronics are located in the reader on
the outside of the protected area. This solution should only be used internally
on areas that are not a great security concern as the wires that control the
lock are visible if the reader is vandalised and removed.
A more secure solution is to have the control electronics installed inside
the protected area so that in the event that the reader is attacked no access
can be gained using the wiring to that reader.
SDL Security Limited install and maintain a variety of access control
technologies that include swipe cards, proximity tokens, smart cards, and
biometrics such as fingerprint readers and retina readers. All of the above
reader technologies can be installed on stand alone or networked access control
systems.
We also install and maintain systems manufactured by a number of
manufacturers, Paxton, Cardax, Fermax, BPT, and many others.
